Hip-Hop recording artists have become the pinnacle of the American dream.

 

The success of hip-hop music has created legitimate means for inner city kids to obtain a better quality of life. However, the street element has found its way into hip hop. Drugs, Gangs, and Violence have become a major part of hip-hop culture. The government has recently formed various task forces specifically organized to infiltrate the hip-hop culture. One task force is the "R.I.A.A.". Mom and pop stores have been shutdown, mixtapes are deemed illegal, and hip hop DJs and artists are being arrested. This documentary goes deep into the streets and corporate offices to find out why.
